Moto X3M: a time trial disguised as a stunt show
Moto X3M came out of the Russian studio MadPuffers in 2016, and its trick is that it looks like a stunt game but scores like a time trial. Every level is a short obstacle course — a beach with ramps and umbrellas, a canyon full of spinning saw blades, a stone yard rigged with TNT — and the only number that matters at the end is the time on the clock. Three stars means you beat the level's target time; on the first beach level that target is 13 seconds, by level 50 it is 40, and the courses grow to match.
The bike is a ragdoll physics toy. Hold Up and it lunges forward, lean back and the front wheel lifts, leave the ground and the arrow keys spin the whole bike. A full flip in the air is worth half a second off the clock, so the fastest riders are not the ones who ride clean — they are the ones who flip on every jump and still land on their wheels. Checkpoints along each track mean a crash only costs you the stretch since the last one, and Space puts you straight back on the bike.
Controls & mechanics
| Action | Control | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Accelerate | Up arrow (or W) | Full throttle; there is no half-speed, so the skill is in when you let go |
| Brake / reverse | Down arrow (or S) | Slows the bike, then rolls it backwards — useful for backing up to a ramp |
| Lean back / front flip | Left arrow (or A) | On the ground: wheelie. In the air: rotates the bike backwards |
| Lean forward / backflip | Right arrow (or D) | On the ground: nose down for landings. In the air: rotates forward |
| Start / continue | Space | Starts the level; after a crash, drops you at the last checkpoint |
| Restart level | R | Throws the whole run away and resets the clock — use it when a crash cost more than a star |
| Pause | P or Esc | Opens the pause menu (also the sound toggles at the top right) |
How to get three stars
- Learn the target time first: Finish the level once, look at the three time thresholds on the result screen, then decide which jumps are worth a flip. On level 1 you need 13 seconds for three stars, 20 for two, 28 for one.
- Flip on every long jump: Each completed flip is worth 0.5 seconds. A level with four big ramps has two free seconds in it, and that is usually the difference between two stars and three.
- Land wheels-first, throttle on: Hold Up as you land: the rear wheel bites and you keep your speed. Landing on the front wheel with Down held stalls the bike for a full second.
- Restart with R, not Space, when the run is dead: Space continues from the checkpoint but the clock keeps everything you lost. If a crash cost you three seconds on a three-star attempt, R is faster.
- Watch the saw blades' rhythm before you commit: Most blades and pendulums in the canyon levels swing on a fixed loop. Roll up to them slowly once, count the beat, then take them at speed on the next run.
- Spend stars on a bike only after level 10: The eight bikes in the garage cost 0 to 70 stars. They change the look, not the physics, so the stars are better kept as proof of three-star runs.
Key features
- All 50 levels: Ten short intro tracks and forty full ones across the beach, the saw-blade canyon and the TNT stone yard. Every level file is served from this site, so the game does not stall after the first level.
- Star times per level: Each track has three time thresholds baked in — 13/20/28 seconds on level 1, 40/45/50 on level 50 — shown on the finish screen so you know exactly how much to shave.
- Flip bonus: A landed front flip or backflip takes 0.5 seconds off your time.
- Checkpoints and instant restarts: Flags along each track save your progress; Space resumes there, R resets the level. A run is never more than a few seconds from a retry.
- Garage: Eight bike skins bought with stars; the first is free and the last costs 70.

- Levels: 50 (10 intro tracks + 40 full tracks across three themes) · 3 stars each · 8 bikes
Pro tip: On any jump that lands on a downslope, start the flip late: tap Left just after the bike leaves the lip, and the slope gives you the extra quarter-turn for free.
